Constructing and Collecting Indoor Structural Map Data with Crowdsourcing

Abstract(in English) Currently, there are many indoor positioning researches using wireless LAN etc. However, there is no wide existance of structural map information on buildings or underground centers that can be applied in indoor positioning. In order to implement indoor location-based services such navigation based on user location, indoor map information is required. Moreover, indoor map information is also useful in the development of research in indoor positioning. This research aims at widely collecting indoor structure map information based on floor map pictures from sources such websites and a the guidance information for an institution through crowdsourcing approach. This paper describes a series of flows, such as acquisition of a floor map, automatic structuring, modification of users, concentration of structural information, and sharing of structural information. It also describes the system which used in supporting this approach. In addition, details of the contents of structural information are also given.
