| Abstract(in English) | Now, prices for ICT equipment are getting lower with the innovation of Telecommunication and Broadcasting Technology and the low costs of the equipments turn the diffusion of Next Generation Network(NGN) into reality. It is necessary that online service time should be evaluated and predicted from the viewpoint of real-time Internet business and it is one of very important research topics among telecommunication traffic fieds. Considering that almost all of the Internet service require real-time, we focus our research on processor sharing (PS) where service starts soon after a job is requested by a customer. In this paper, we clarify the characterictics of Limited PS System (LiPS). LiPS systems will be better than PS systems for practical problems because PS systems process infinite jobs simultaneously while LiPS process finite jobs. But few researchers consider LiPS in spite of the system's advantage. |
