Abstract(in English) | We describe a compact transponder aggregator (TPA) based on a splitter-switch architecture using PLC technology. This TPA comprises an 8×8 splitter-switch, which integrates an 8-arrayed 1×8 splitter and an 8-arrayed 1×8 optical switch, and an 8-arrayed tunable filter. This integrated TPA enables us to realize a colorless, directionless and contentionless multi-degree ROADM node cost-effectively with a small footprint. |
