Abstract(in English) We demonstrated a polarization independent SOA with U-turn deep-ridge GaInAsP waveguide using a PLC based PDC. The PDG of the SOA module was less than 1 dB in a wavelength range of 1540-1570nm. The developed polarization independent SOA is applicable to a booster or a preamplifier.
