Analytical Representation of Gaussian Blurred Image by Continuous Eigen Analysis and its Applications

Abstract(in English) Recently, a scale-space image processing becomes more important in a pattern recognition. In the scale-space, multiple images are generated by filtering gaussian kernels with multiple scale parameters. In order to higher accuracy, it is necessary to increase the number of images with multiple scale parameters. However, it has trade-off relationship between an accuracy and a calculation cost. In this work, we tried to apply a spectrum decomposition to the gaussian filters with multiple scale parameters, and we will show that the gaussian blurred image with any scale can be represented by a polynomial equation of scale parameter. Finally, as its application, we will propose a new method to detect the scale invariant feature.
