| 抄録(和) | 本研究では, Visual-Wordの前景・背景情報と局所的な共起情報を用いた画像分類手法を検討する.一般的なBag-of-Visual-WordsではVisual-Wordの位置情報が無視されるが,近年の研究により,前景と背景,Visual-Word間の局所的な共起といった情報を加えることで分類精度が向上することが知られている.本研究では,従来から用いられている前景・背景にまたがるVisual-Wordの共起情報のヒストグラムに加え,前景内部でのVisual-Wordの共起情報のヒストグラムを用いる手法を提案する.さらに,局所的な共起情報の表現手段として,Visual-Wordの集合を一つの語のように扱うことのできるVisual-Phraseの適用を検討する. |
| 抄録(英) | Image classification using bag-of-visual-words representations is addressed in this paper. Recent studies have revealed that spatial information of the visual words is useful although it was neglected previously. Particularly, foreground/background information and co-occurrences within small regions are important. In this study, we considered co-occurrences within a foreground region as well as co-occurrences striding foreground/background boundaries. We also tested a visual-phase representation, in which a set of visual words co-occurred in a small neighborhood is regarded as a visual phrase, to com- pactly express the co-occurrence structures of the visual words. Preliminary experimental results are presented to show the performance of our approach. |
