Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Recently, several VR systems using wind have been developed, aiming at enhancing the users' sensation of presence. However, most systems arrange wind sources rather sparsely around the user. This configuration might not be sufficient if we want to provide the user with an experience that one is moving in the VR space or that the natural wind blows towards the user. It is expected that wind sources can be appropriately set up when designing wind displays, if the property of perception produced by wind is revealed. In this study we measure just noticeable difference (JND) at lateral face using constant method, to complement our previous measurement at front face. |
