Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Passive-matrix driven organic light-emitting display (PM-OLED) has a problem of a short display lifetime and a low efficiency due to small duty ratio which decreases with increasing the resolution and the panel size. Multi-line addressing used in this report to solve this problem can reduce the peak-current by fixing the number of scanning lines selected simultaneously, by restricting the signal inputted into a data line and by coding the selection pattern. Image quality obtained by this driving method is evaluated by peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), and the influence given by the coding pattern and the length changing with 2, 4 and 6 bits was investigated.
