Experimental Evaluations of Autonomous Distributed Resource-Adjustment Control for Optical Packet and Circuit Integrated Network

Abstract(in English) We install our autonomous distributed resource-adjustment control function on an experimental network equipping an optical packet and circuit integrated node prototype, and experimentally demonstrate and evaluate the function. In our control system, every time a lightpath is established or released, each node autonomously checks the status of wavelength usage at each of relevant input and output interfaces. If the status of wavelength usage meets some prescribed conditions to execute resource-adjustment, the resources are automatically reallocated between optical packet and optical path at the relevant interface. We show experimental results that our control system can achieve automatic increase and decrease of lightpath resources in 454msec and 448msec, respectively, on average.
