Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The authors previously developed the evaluation of an automatic IQ imbalance compensation technique for quadrature modulator using spectrum measurement with a spectrum analyzer. In this report, a compensation method for wideband quadrature modulator is proposed and the effect is validated with a developed wideband transmitter. This method uses only magnitude information of the signal at any specific frequency with feedback from spectrum analyzer and transmit distorted signal. By iterative processing, the optimum model parameters are obtained. In particular, a simple subband method is proposed in order to compensate frequency characteristics over wide frequency range and the effect is also verified by measurement.
