Design of Compact High-Performance Microstrip Lowpass Filters Using Coupled-Line Hairpin Resonators

Abstract(in English) In our previous work, we derived close-form formulas for a microstrip coupled-line hairpin resonator to determine the frequencies at which the reflection zero, the transmission zeros, and the 3dB cutoff occur. In this paper, by using these formulas, we design low-pass filters with various specifications. Then, by cascading microstrip coupled-line hairpin resonators, we succeed in realizing low-pass filters with compact size, sharp passband skirt, and very wide stopband.
