Abstract(in English) | Frequency modulation linearity of FMCW radar system can be compensated by measuring F-V characteristics of a VCO composing the FMCW source and updating the Look up table (LUT) of F-V characteristics periodically. The conventional measurement method requires the FMCW source to stop the frequency sweep through the measurement of VCO F-V characteristics. We propose a novel method of measuring F-V characteristics of VCO which is working as FMCW source of radar system. The proposal method uses a feature of FMCW radar system that up chirp and down chirp is alternate. The effectiveness of the proposal method was confirmed by measurement. |
