Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There is a possibility that the misunderstanding is caused in multilingual communications, because people cannot understand enough other culture even when talking by using the same word. People should judge the presence of a cultural difference now. However, it is difficult to judge it because enough knowledge of other culture is necessary. We compare with the detection methods using the number of categorical items (method 1) and using the number of the name of country-and-language related words included in the content of each article (method 2) on multilingual version Wikipedia. From the result of the experiment, both methods can detect cultural difference about Japanese related articles. About Chinese related articles, the method 1 can detect cultural difference about 70%, the method 2 can detect cultural difference about 90%.
