Abstract(in English) | The feasibility of 10-layer 320 GB / 16-layer 512 GB multilayer recordable optical disc based on Blu-ray Disc optics is confirmed that utilizes the recording material of Bi-Ge-O which has high transmittance of 95% and high recording sensitivity. New design principle of recording layers for simplification of recordable multilayer media is also shown. Based on the new design principle the feasibility of 10-layer with the capacity of 250 GB was obtained using only two types of recording layer and only two thicknesses of spacer layers. |
