Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, phase characteristics and magnitude of E-field for electromagnetic analysis and geome-trical optics were studied in order to evaluate spot diameter of condensing dielectric lens antenna. As the results, maximum value of the phase difference at E-plane was 30°, and its of H-plane was larger than 40 ° due to the reflection on surface at edge of the lens. By using matching layers for surface of the lens, the maximum differences were improved about 20 ° at both E- and H-plane. Then, we evaluated focal point and spot diameter characteristics for with and without the attached matching layers. The simulated focal point was arranged at front of calculated one and the difference of the spot diameter was about 5%. The focal points and spot diameter were changed with ripple by the frequencies.
