Abstract(in English) For achieving the privacy protection on the facial image retrieval system, we consider the method that produces cryptographic keys from facial features. Since the facial feature varies within the same person, it is not suitable to use such facial feature as cryptographic key. Therefore, we propose the method of generating the key by quantizing the facial feature based on entropy. In the experiment, we applied the proposed method to the public facial image database, and evaluated the performance and the safety of the system by calculating False Acceptance Rate and False Rejection Rate.
