Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Contactless IC card infrastructure has been widely spread to various fields such as access control and e-payment. In this infrastructure, three major types of protocol are used for communication between reader/writer (RW) and contactless devices. At present, card users have two or more contactless devices corresponding to only each type and use them according to the use cases. In order to use contactless devices smoothly regardless of protocol type, the authors think it important to speed up the selection of protocol type during their initialization. The authors propose the method of distinguishing the three types with higher-speed, remarking the feature of the request signal sent from each RW.
