Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Because of the recent rise in oil prices and environmental awareness, the Electric Vehicle (EV) is being put to practical use and will prevail rapidly instead of conventional vehicles using fossil fuel. The EV has been developed to drive long distance following the conventional vehicle's concept and furthermore the small compact EV, termed Mini EV in this paper, with one or two seats, is emerging for people's variety needs. Especially the mini EV may prevail as the means for the aged people to move around in the community. Besides, the mini EV may be powered by the solar panel and charging may be unnecessary or reduced. In particular, ad hoc network using mini EVs is promising for safe driving and other community applications to improve quality-of-life in the community.
