Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In experiments we have conducted, we achieved to facilitate conversation unexpectedly by conversational robot's spontaneous utterance related to the context of previous question answering. In this paper, we describe a conversational robot system designed for constantly facilitating conversations with topic tracing capability, which is able to output a combination of answers to questions and spontaneous utterances. We also report the results of two laboratory experiments with the system. The experiments were conducted to examine both effects of existence of the conversational robot and each capability designed for the conversational robot. Based on the result of experiments, we discuss effects of the conversation facilitation.
