A note taking support system with 'Kikimimi' interface

Abstract(in English) This paper describes a note taking support system with "Kikimimi" interface. Existing methods of note taking have some problems. To solve the problems, we implemented a speech interface, touch panel and graphical user interface into the note taking support system. Our developed system can resolve the problems. In particular, "Kikimimi" interface can achieve efficiently memo writing and reference of the recorded data. "Kikimimi" interface automatically catches a speech and performs automatic speech recognition. Then, a system user can take a note by touching the recognized words displayed on the screen. The system was compared with a traditional note taking method; an user only uses a text editor application on a computer. In the result, users using the system made memos faster than the other users who use a text editor.
