Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Since IP multicasting on a wireless networks based on CSMA/CA protocol does not support RTS/CTS and ACK procedure, a high probability of packet loss due to collisions has much negative effects on application quality such as contents distribution. In this paper, at first, we discuss these issues from an experimental result on IEEE802.11g wireless LAN. Based on this, we consider a proposed method which is combine IP unicast with IP multicasting to improve communication quality.
