Efficient Rigid Registration for Medical Images Based on Small Sample Set

Abstract(in English) In this work, efficient methods for medical image registration are developed. Different image sampling strategies based on random distribution or Halton sequences and their corresponding choices of registration algorithms are evaluated. Efficient and optimal algorithm combinations for rigid registration are proposed based on the evaluation results. Experimental results on Vanderbilt database show that the average running time of the proposed methods is less than 1 sec, while the accuracy level is almost the same as the full sampling method and the state of the arts.
