Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An autonomous first-in-first-out buffering system is proposed. The buffer system consists of feedback-looped parallel fibers as first-in-first-out buffers. Each fiber can store multiple packets that arrive asynchronously and have variable lengths. The buffering system manages storing and forwarding of arriving packets in autonomous fashion. Buffering performances such as packet loss rate and delay time are evaluated numerically. As a result, the proposed system can improve the performances compared to our previously reported system which stores only a single packet in each of the fiber delay lines.
