An EXIT Analysis of Iterative Detection Based on the Turbo Principle

Abstract(in English) This paper introduces EXIT chart analysis which visualizes behavior of iterative detection based on the turbo principle. At the beginning, a relationship between log likelihood ratio (LLR) and mutual information, for the sake of revealing requirements involved in the EXIT chart analysis. Then, a simple turbo code structure is proposed, in order to provide better understanding about a methodology of the analysis. After demonstrating examples of the analysis, validity and problems are discussed.
