Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Due to severe limitations of available transmission power, recent digital satellite communication systems employ amplitude-phase shift keying (APSK), which is considered efficient in terms of both peak power efficiency and robustness against Gaussian noise. In this work, the effectiveness of 16-APSK schemes over 16-QAM as well as 16-PSK is investigated in terms of the resulting signal peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) and average mutual information.
