Abstract(in English) Satellite laser communication is expected as one of the next generation wireless systems because it enables to construct a globe-scale high-capacity network and has an optical secrecy and tolerance for disasters. However, the satellite laser communication requires relatively high technologies such as exact pointing between a transmitter and a receiver. Furthermore, in a satellite-to-ground link, since air turbulence occurs and the received optical power changes frequently, some channel coding is also needed, Thus, the satellite laser communication is still on a development phase. To construct a best channel coding setting, an exact channel model of the laser satellite-to-ground link must be established. National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) has succeeded this optical satellite-to-ground transmission experiments. Therefore, in this report we introduce a Markov channel model based on the experiment results and the low-density generator matrix (LDGM) code suitable for this channel. Further developments of the LDGM code are also introduced.
