Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This study aims at the realization of mode division multiplexing (MDM) communication using multi-mode fiber by all-optical mode demultiplexer consisted of the dynamic multiple holograms. In this paper, we consider the separation of three multiplexed MDM signals, and investigate a mode separation characteristic for six combinations composed of three LP modes. In addition, to improve the separation performance of the all-optical mode demultiplexer, we clarify the dependence of the mode separation on the intensity ratio by varying of the two light intensities used in the hologram recording. Moreover, we show that the signal-to-noise ratio is greatly improved by choosing the combination of LP modes and intensity ratio adequately.
