Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Trench-index bend-insensitive-fiber (TBIF) is widely used in FTTx. In TBIF, controlling cutoff wavelength (λ,c) within a proper wavelength range is very important for suppressing unwanted effect, such as multi-path-interference, on transmission performance. However, λ,c measurement spectrum of TBIF tends to have longer tail and oscillation component is superimposed on the spectrum. In this study, a simple λ,c measurement technique for TBIF is demonstrated. Proposed technique can suppress this oscillation, and Ac can be determined properly.
