Abstract(in English) | Along with the distortion of optical signal waveform due to fiber chromatic dispersion, spectrum profile of the modulated signal also changes. We have proposed a simple adaptive compensation system of optical fiber chromatic dispersion using the above characteristic. Because the feedback circuit of the compensation system needs only signal power information in a certain part of the signal spectrum, the proposed system can be constructed without high speed measurements in time domain, and at low cost. We have confirmed compensation time about 2~3 seconds relative to rapid and drastic change of transmission fiber length by optical switching. |
