Abstract(in English) For responding to the demand of traffic capacity increase of optical fiber network, the homogeneous multi-core optical fiber (MCOF) has been investigated. This paper reports that two fabrication methods of MCOF and their characteristics. The cross-talk of fabricated MCOF, depending on fiber length and operation wavelength, is estimated. In this MCOF, identical cores are closely arranged so that the cross-talk easily occurs due to a coupling between neighbor cores. The cross-talk shows a liner dependence on wavelength and core interval.
