Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Focusing on both business and technological aspects of software architectures, we identify and describe growth processes relevant to its appearance, with particular reference to the initial background, relevant particulars and current circumstances. We also consider future directions for software architecture. We begin by examining application architectures typical of the mainframe era which appeared in the latter half of the 1980s, before moving on to discuss software architectures exemplified by the "open" axiom of the early 1990s. Finally, we consider the future direction of software architectures through studying frameworks of companies representative of what has come to be the full-scale "open" era, emerging in the mid-1990s, before closing with a further contemplation of software architecture directions for the 21^ century.
