Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We incorporated an additional p-type organic semiconductor layer between the anode and the phthalocyanines layer that was the indispensable p-type semiconductor layer for forming p/n junction with the fullerene C60 layer. We used two thiophene/phenylene co-oligomers, of which bandgaps are smaller than that of the phthalocyanines, as the additional layer. The incorporation led to enhancing incident photon-current conversion efficiency (IPCE) at the wavelength region where the thiophene derivatives had strong absorption. The combination dependence of a thiophene derivative and a phthalocyanine implied that Forster resonant excitation transfer mainly played for the resulting IPCE enhancements.
