Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study is to verify reproducibility and robustness of Tone-Entropy analysis which is a method that directs statistical characteristics of heart period variability for measurement of cardiac autonomic nervous system activity. To discuss reproducibility and robustness, the results of young subjects' cardiac autonomic nervous system activities through Tone-Entropy analysis are severally compared between our results and previous studies on the same space, i.e. Tone-Entropy space. 83 male and 18 female earlier 20 age young subjects (21.6+/-1.1yrs ; mean+/-SD) were participated in this study. Twice R-R interval detection trials for 10 minutes were performed when the subjects sat on the confortable chair. The plots of on Tone-Entropy space in the first trial and the second trial severally distribute tone [first : -0.126+/-0.012, second : -0.152+/-0.02] and entropy [first trial : 3.97+/-0.06(bit), second : 4.12+/-0.06(bit)]. Their two distributions much nearly displace the previously reported distribution of the same young age people. The earlier 20 years' displacements of the twice trials on Tone-Entropy space are near to the previous studies on Tone-Entropy analysis. Our results indicate and support that Tone-Entropy analysis have reproducibility and robustness as a measure of cardiac autonomic nervous system activity in young subjects.
