Abstract(in English) The second systolic (S2) in blood flow velocity waveforms (BFVW) has been used for evaluating the arteriosclerosis. However S2 identification is very time consuming due to the manual visual extraction. To address this issue, in this paper, we propose two novel indices (A_
and A_) to evaluate the arteriosclerosis. The validity of these parameters is evaluated by investigating the relationship between index (A_
, A_) of the BFVW and widely used CAVI (Cardio ankle vascular index). Based on strong correlation between A_
and CAVI obtained by our experiment, we can conclude that A_
should be useful for the index of atherosclerosis.
