Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, reduction of mutual coupling between microstrip antenna with using absorber is presented. Under condition of the operational frequency at 8.5 GHz, the two radiation patches which are constructed on a substrate are separated by the distance of λ/4. The size appropriate for reducing the mutual coupling was studied analytically. As the results, the reduction of mutual coupling became high at a frequency with the absorber. The frequency where the reduction of the mutual coupling peak varied with the impedance matching frequency of absorbers. The reduction of the mutual coupling with optimized absorber is as high as 50 dB compared with that of the model without the absorber. Then the influence for the reflection characteristics from the absorber is too small, and the loss of the antenna gain is only 3 dBi.
