Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Under infrared excitation, green luminescence emitted from Yb-doped optical fiber (YDF) is known as a cooperative luminescence. In this work, we observed a blue luminescence emitted from YDF, along with the green cooperated luminescence. Since the energy of the blue luminescence was located at the nearly threefold of infrared luminescence, we considered that blue luminescence is due to a higher-order cooperated luminescence related three excited ytterbium ions.
