Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | This tutorial explains key technologies for broadband wireless communication systems, such as adaptive equalizer to compensate for frequency selective fading, adaptive modulation and transmit power control techniques to adaptively control transmission rate while keeping a required transmission quality, channel coding or coded modulation schemes that target to achieve near-Shannon capacity, and spatial signal multiplexing techniques using MIMO transmissions, thereby achieving higher power efficiency and spectral efficiency in wireless broadband transmissions. Especially, the outline of such engineering developments in radio communications systems is introduced hoping to be a reference for future high capacity optical fiber networks. |
