Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In our previous OCS-Report, local DGD distribution was shown to be fit well by the squared Lorentzian probability density function. Here, we propose a series of exponentiated Lorentzian probability density functions, that includes expansion of the normal distribution and the Maxwellian distribution to those having fat-tails. We demonstrated the fitting of these exponentiated Lorentzian of order 0 and 1 with local DGD and local PMD data. However, we have no PMD data suitable to check the exponentiated Lorentzian of order 2 corresponding to the Maxwellian, yet. We pointed out that fitting even in the relatively higher frequency region with higher accuracy makes it possible to find the order of fat-tail. The exponentiated Lorentzian probability density functions are expected to be a suitable tool for better design of the system PMD outage probability.
