Abstract(in English) Digital coherent receivers which demultiplex polarization multiplexed signals by the digital signal processing are expected to steadily track the high speed polarization change. However, it is needed to discuss the polarization tracking performance with consideration realistic hardware constrains. In this report, we first discussed hardware constraints to design the polarization demultiplexing circuit employing the CMA algorithm which is one of the blind equalization algorithms. Then we developed the FPGA based real-time digital signal processor for 12.5 Gb/s DP-QPSK and demonstrated the polarization tracking performance.
