Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a communication between household appliances in a house, the receiving signal level may remain a low level for a long time, if the appliance was located at a null point of fading profile, because of the quasi-stationary propagation environment between fixed appliances. To overcome this difficulty, we have developed a new diversity antenna to be used in the quasi-stationary propagation environment. Specifically, we have attempted two methods; one is that the directions of antenna beam are changed, and the other is that the locations of antenna are changed. Both methods are operated in conjunction with their changes synchronized with transmission data packets, and the receiver accumulates the receiving signals for many times. In this paper, as a basic study, we have examined effects of diversity gain of the proposed antenna using the two methods mentioned above.
