Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In heterogeneous networks on LTE-Advanced, picocell and hemtocell are incorporated inside macrocell which is a typical cell layout, to enhance the frequency utilization. However, the co-channel interference between marco and picocell/hemtocell is one of important issues when the same frequency band is used between these systems. Since the service area and antenna deployment in picocell/hemtocell are different from those in macrocell, it is important to grasp the interference temperature in heterogeneous networks. In this paper, the co-channel interference in heterogeneous networks is firstly described in detail. Then, we measure the shadowing effect when considering outdoor-outdoor, outdoor-indoor and indoor-indoor propagation. Finally, the interference temperature between macrocell and femtocell is evaluated by using measured propagation data.
