Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have been developing next generation optical inter-satellite communication terminals based on coherent homodyne BPSK (Binary Phase Shift Keying) with a wavelength of 1.06 micron, leading to 2.5Gbps LEO-GEO optical communication link. This paper presented overview of this development, system configuration and key technologies for the new optical inter-satellite terminals. The experimental results are also presented as demonstrations for verification of a spatial acquisition/tracking, an optical phase locking and a communication performance between two terminals.
