Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Wideband InterNetworking Engineering Test and Demonstration Satellite (WINDS) can communicate with 51Mbps using the regenerative relay mode. However, the throughput is limited because of a long propagation delay in the communication via WINDS. Moreover, WINDS uses high frequency bandwidth, the signal is attenuated significantly by the rainfall etc, and the change of the link condition is also large. It is considered that to enlarge the window size of TCP is one of the effective method for increases the throughput. In this paper, the change of the throughput was reported when the window size was set the largest and when the signal was attenuated.
