Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Activity recognition with wearable sensors, such as accelerometer, is one of the key technologies to achieve context aware applications. However, existing methods of activity recognitions are unpractical for real-time use due to the slow response time. Thus, we propose a method that decreases the response time of accelerometer-based activity recognition. Our method firstly detects changing points of activities in sensor data, and then classifies short-time data just after the changing point using a special classifier. The results of experiments showed that out method can decrease the response time from 2530 ms to 1459 ms on the average. |
