Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Overlapped FFT which improves the probability of signal detection by reducing the variance of noise has been investigated. It has been studied that the relationship between the variance of noise and overlapped ratio through simulation and numerical analysis. In this report, the effect of overlapped FFT is evaluated through an experiment. Mesurement results show that higher overlapped ratio leads to smaller noise variance. It is also shown that the reduction ratio of the noise variance coincides with the numerical analysis when the noise spectrum is white. Futhermore the overlapped FFT highly reduces the variance of the noise when the noise spectrum is colored. |
