Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There have been studies on the search robot which moves and searches in a three-dimensional space when a large-scale disaster occurs. In this report, we propose a vertical directivity controllable antenna that can be mounted on the robot to improve the wireless communication performances between such robots. We describe the result of basic analyses and performance evaluation. Then the effects of the robot chassis and the ceiling of the closed space to the antenna performances are analyzed and described. In addition, experimental results by use of a prototype antenna are also presented.
