A Stady on Three Layer HDR Coding Method using Two Tone-mapping Algorithms

Abstract(in English) Many multiple layer HDR coding methods have been proposed, but many of them cannot use a Super High Contrast Image (SHCI) which is tone-mapped the HDRI with enhancing small local contrasts. This paper proposes a three layer HDR coding method using two tone-mapping algorithm, and its first layer and second layer can decode the SHCI and conventional tone-mapping results, respectively. Showing a validity of our method, this paper compares it with a conventional two layer HDR coding method since HDR coding algorithms using three layers hardly exist.
