Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In our research, we aim to construct the visuo-haptic device which can give users a sense as if they are touching on of virtual objects with variety of shapes, using pseudo-haptic effects. In this paper, we focus on the modification of our identification about the shape of the curved surface when touching on it with our pointing finger. We compose a video see-through system which we can change the shape visually. Using this system we experiment the effect of visuo-haptic interaction, and we evaluate the tendency. It's result shows that over 80% of the participants answered that they perceived the virtual object's shape deferent from the shape they touched in fact.
