Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Scent projector is a system that delivers scents to a specific person locally, by letting scents carried by vortex rings launched from an air cannon. In order to deliver scents at desired time and space, it is important to control the velocity of the vortex ring. Previously we have examined the effect of shooting parameters, i.e., the volume being pushed out of the air cannon and its speed, on the launched vortex rings. However, in our previous study, we had a incomprehensible result that the effect of the amount volume is larger than the volume velocity. In this study, we reexamined these effects on the velocity of vortex ring, and found that there was a interference between specified volume amount and the actual volume velocity. We also found that the velocity of vortex rings is mostly controlled by the actual volume velocity of the air pushed out of the air cannon.
