Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this research is to develop a super directive microphone array that can pick up distant sounds, like a camera lens can zoom in on targers. If it is enable to pick up distant sounds clearly without locating microphones near target sources, it is useful to produce sounds corresponding to the highly realistic video. In conventional beamforming methods, it is difficult to segregate adjacent sound sources without varying increasing the array size and number of microphones. We propose MICAREF (MICrophone Array using REFlector), which generate beamforming filters using a reflector whose acoustical properties are known. When we locate reflector near microphone array, reflected sounds are included in transfer functions. By using the transfer functions, we found that the nulls are generated in noise directions, which is located near target source. From simulating results, we confirmed that the super directivity is formed by using MICAREF.
